Needed to men
For creation.

Woman's heart needs
True affection
From gentle man.

Needs gentle care
To tame the heart.

Are husband gem

Elevated Status

Well heeled prove worth accumulating items 
Excess possessions symbolise hierarchy
Available funds allow aristocrat to buy them
Unwittingly sitting in prison of patriarchy
Drawn lustily to slope of have it all quagmire
Lay claim on the latest, insatiable aspire

Managing menagerie of restless investment
Inhibits by dictating subsequent strategy
On hold, breath held in waiting for a best yet
Comparitively impressive, an odd

Valuable Asset Or Economic Liability

When we come out of lockdown,
Will we invite the old uptown?
To fit them for a crown,
Or send them downtown
For someone to put them down.

Will we look to them to make the economy stable?
Or pass the baton to those less able,
Will we be lining up to sit at their table?
Or kicking them out to the stable.

It Is An Asset

Foolishness is asset
Makes the wise, wise
Gives fools fame

Being a Zero Asset

You know, it’s funny,
In a real sad kind of way,
How I am the unwelcome one,
Yet, told to be here everyday.

And I’m told to sit,
At this sterile work site bench,
At this site void of mental use,
That exudes a thoughtless stench.

And I know I’m not important-
I’m the ghost they can forget.
My ideas and values aren’t used because
I’m

My birth was like
     a king
I lived as an
   emperor
I am the solver
  of everything
I was the biggest
  in my group
I am most valuable
  asset
but now,
     I am going to end
 I have few minutes more
      

Antique Is Still An Asset

Like a gold coin, never gilded, 
I once was a valued asset, 
In good currency, well traded; 
But now with a down-sliding fate,
I’m but a loose change, rotated, 
Rated below the face value, 
Close to expiry and dated, 
Whose pedigree’s no royal blue.

Value on a-written-down rate, 
Yet, is not
