Asphyxiates Poems | Examples

My cleric’s collar starts to sting
a raw, red rash that won’t abate
when world news of horrors bring
send thoughts and prayers and meditate

There is no accident, no chance
the predetermined outcomes state
a child dies by circumstance
those desperate prayers won’t alter Fate

The prophets false in word and deed
are fed by fear and groomed by hate
corruption absolute decreed
blind the sheep and celebrate

This collar now asphyxiates
I think it’s time to separate.

Misery asphyxiates

         as the world disintegrates,

                  yet the kookaburra laughs...

          even if it aggravates!

Eyes filling with sand
Coastal wind asphyxiates
Devils in boxes

Malignant, an echo of
calamity
penetrates the aura
of American freedom
as humanity
asphyxiates
an arsenal
of political fascism
shape shifting
into beads
branded by mercury
abomination

What Have We Become

The world,
Was Vast and Prosperous,
Now minuscule,
Like butter on bread the universe spreads,
But the earth withers,
Before the jovial sea song to the wind,
 Now whispers to herself,
Rain embellished the earth with Laevigata roses,
Now stone asphyxiates the bountiful grass,
The quiet moon drifts from us in silence,
For the pain is to insufferable,
Who could watch the earth die?
Forced from the galaxy,
Our odor lingers through space,
Afraid to be tainted,
We are alone,
Who can save us?
Blinded by our doom we continue,
But I weep. For I see it all
And I cannot stop it,
My voice speaks but sound of pride deludes my voice,
Now Afraid the earths cries but no one hears her weep
and her despairs stays imprinted on my soul
How can I save the world?
I hear no Solution,
So I stay and wait the conclusion to come

Freedom

Freedom

Bitterness seeks to squelch freedom with words.
Take not up thy rifles, loathsome trifle.
Liberated hearts, expressions conceived.
Observe! Speak! Be heard! Please, never stifle.

Oppression… Asphyxiates. Suffocates.
Strangulates! False promises lack visions.
Free at last! Are we? Grip freedoms rebates.
Goodwill! Dreams! Worship OR not! Professions.

Dance along in life; sing with chutzpah, nerve.
Let out free will! Choice thrills, sashays the slopes.
Liberty… Emancipates! Gives hearts verve.
Rejoice! Praise! Thank God! Live! Fulfill your hopes.

Everywhere, let thoughts be heard; then, joy find:
Love, choice, fear, struggles, defeats, successes…
For all these things, build strength within mankind.
Freedom embraces the keys to dreams, wishes.

Nothing

I dive right in.
I let go this emotion.
I fall deeper within,
In this endless ocean.

I breathe hope in,
False air asphyxiates me.
I know that I won’t win.
There is no remedy.

I feel within,
If I can feel such a thing,
Inside my heart wherein,
The feeling of nothing.
