Notes About The Poem

Laughing Kookaburra

Misery asphyxiates

         as the world disintegrates,

                  yet the kookaburra laughs...

          even if it aggravates!

Indeed the world goes on as ever as the tragedy afflicts us humans, who created it in the first place by our ill treatment of nature! If kookaburra laughs, it has reason to! I like this poem. Has a quiet appeal with a philosophical undertone.

"yet the kookaburra laughs..." - I think nature is going along her way, fine, without concern which gladdens me.
