Ask, and it shall be given you . . . "
from a portion of Matthew 7:7 King James Version
The valley was scorching. Air simmered despair
as its people prayed for rain.
Eyes cast skyward, they cried, “God, bring us relief.
This drought will be our bane.”
One evening a deluge came over the land,
washing their fears away.
They woke to sweet petrichor. Glorious light
flooded the break of day.

We were best friends
Then one on one
Our love was strong
And our stars touched
Up in our dreams
We flew like birds
Pass past dead ends
And cars that crashed
It was us now
Free from our past
We built our nest
On a tree top
Next to a park
That wrapped our gift
Soon seeds took root
To the bird's cries

Pain pierces the heart and injures the soul.
Bleeding and crying, we long to be whole.
Life's selfish acts injure all who are near.
Reaching out for help, but we retract in fear.
We cannot accept kindness as we live in pain.
On beautiful sunny days, we only feel the rain.
Sorrows on sorrows, we only exist on this day.
Faith and hope fade into the dark until we pray.
Slow drifting sands shift through our souls.
In awe, the sands swirl, making a visage whole.
Stars ushered in a being so wonderful and pure.
As his touch melts our woes with love as a cure.
On the Eve of the New Year, our brother mends at night.
Our hope and joy are restored, giving us a future so bright.
We rise in this New Year as our wounds are healed.
Finally, the visage of our brother has been revealed.

When mountains move
Prayer was answered
When miracles appear
Prayer was answered
When circumstances change
Prayer was answered
When revival arrives
Prayer was answered
When someone repents
Prayer was answered
When addiction is defeated
Prayer was answered
When hard hearts soften
Prayer was answered
When my prayers are answered
My heart sings

Our father,
Who art in heaven
Thanks for the gifts
Life, shelter, water and more
Give us this day insight to art.
Ignite our creativity
Expand our knowledge
So we can add more
Beauty to your creation
to glorify thee but to our victory.
Give us this day
Life of abundance
So we can
Do bountifully
Thriving easily
Effortlessly uniting
showing more love than hate
To create a new world
and path for our next generation
Guild us daily so, our day be fruitful
Protect us from all forces that rises against us
Direct our dealings
So we don't trample on ourselves
As we communion with you this day
Help us to embody your unconditional love
Fill us with spirit of forgiveness and grace
Showing compassion for ourselves
In other to live in peace and harmony
Manifesting heaven on earth as we pray this day.
THANKS FOR PRAYERS ANSWERED... AMEN!!!

Jesus faced many attacks on earth
so often the Jewish leaders did attack
they made Him their number-one target
seeking to draw Him in that He's crack
Here the Jews were really angry
as they chose to attack with rocks
this is the son of God they hated
but they wanted Jesus in the dock
Jesus now spoke with authority
declared He had shown to them
many good works from God His father
what could they say? to God's gem
The Lord then asked the question
'which good works do you try to stone me?'
here God turned them in a spin
for they yet would pin Him to a tree
These Jews wouldn't bow to Jesus
indeed they wanted Him dead
on a cross, He paid for their sin
to bring salvation to believe in
(John10: 31-32
The Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus. Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?")

In spirit strong I prayed for your return
recalling daily memories, precious, dear.
No other understands my love for you
forgiveness that a heart went on to bear.
Sometimes I faced the dread of never knowing,
the love we had before my days were done.
So, it was as my pulse and steps were slowing
I begged my God for your return to come.
In one morning’s, twilight day, God answered
and soon caresses lived outside my dreams.
This second time around possessed a promise.
Your heart professed a true love as it seems.
In winter’s frost our romance warms the fire.
God bless us that it never will expire.

An apple hung on lofty limb
Rosy red, softly glimmering
Against cool Autumn's waning light
Looking longingly at the sight
Dreaming desperately for a bite
A clever man hatched his plan
He shook the tree with all his might
But no effort of mortal man
Could loose that apple red and grand
Hungry belly, fraught with dismay
The man began to walk away
When hint of wind swept 'cross his face
Perhaps there was another way
Falling on his knees he prayed
Nothing happened and now twas dark
Leaning back against tree bark
Feeling forlorn, his outlook stark
Chilling gusts left him shivering
Cold and hungry, dark and dreary
When sudden thud he heard clearly
Rosy red sweet satisfaction

Is it a myth that History repeats?
This universal question that time deletes
Is the evidence clear that it occurs?
Through eons and eons it strangely recurs
Is it true that horrors are dulled by time?
This forever, unchanging paradigm
If wars are to end should it start with me?
To account for mankind’s insanity.

Some folks say all their prayers are answered
I question their word on this doubtful assertion,
For it clearly would show God is partial to some
Requiring from others, more convincing coercion.

a rainbow appeared
marking the long drought's ending
song from the treetops
awakening blooms
in heart arresting colors
summer's turning gold
greenest gratitude
rising again from our knees
sunflower sun shines

Monitoring prayer requests
heart of mine anticipates answers
knowing that God constantly responds
believing He knows the best, perfectly indeed
by His love and grace, according to timetable sovereign
in His ways verily miraculous, mighty, merciful, mysterious…
Today’s prayer list offers no exemption to my spirit’s zest and zeal
since I wrote “special child’s responsive therapy toward functionality”
trusting the Lord Who always specializes in impossibilities via faith
beholding His hands working well, vanquishing doubts…
Yet, I am all the more amazed and truly surprised
and yes, puzzled to see the name of my son
not under the “Sick Brethren” section
but along “Thanksgiving” column...
The encoder made a mistake
I thought, but in the Saviour
it’s not an accident; thus
seeing it as blessing
I say, “Amen”
Grateful*!
