Jesus Answered Them - John 10: 31-32

Jesus faced many attacks on earth
so often the Jewish leaders did attack
they made Him their number-one target
seeking to draw Him in that He's crack

Here the Jews were really angry
as they chose to attack with rocks
this is the son of God they hated
but they wanted Jesus in the dock

Jesus now spoke with authority
declared He had shown to them
many good works from God His father
what could they say? to God's gem

The Lord then asked the question
'which good works do you try to stone me?'
here God turned them in a spin
for they yet would pin Him to a tree

These Jews wouldn't bow to Jesus
indeed they wanted Him dead
on a cross, He paid for their sin
to bring salvation to believe in

(John10: 31-32
The Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus. Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?")

Great poem, Gordon, when Lord Jesus Himself was antagonised, what are we who face opposition for spreading His Word?

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. “What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.” John 11:47?-?48 NIV. It's the love of praise from mankind instead of giving praise to God, many give false witness for personal gain sadly, great awakening poem my friend for all to embrace, love it : )
