Apple Prayer Answered

An apple hung on lofty limb Rosy red, softly glimmering Against cool Autumn's waning light Looking longingly at the sight Dreaming desperately for a bite A clever man hatched his plan He shook the tree with all his might But no effort of mortal man Could loose that apple red and grand Hungry belly, fraught with dismay The man began to walk away When hint of wind swept 'cross his face Perhaps there was another way Falling on his knees he prayed Nothing happened and now twas dark Leaning back against tree bark Feeling forlorn, his outlook stark Chilling gusts left him shivering Cold and hungry, dark and dreary When sudden thud he heard clearly Rosy red sweet satisfaction

That’s like the proverb where the wind tugs at a man’s coat and the more the wind blows the tighter he holds onto it. Then the sun comes out and makes him hot and he takes the coat off. I enjoyed your Apple tale. Best SuZ

A kairos moment - reminds me of my persimmons - I can indeed shake the whole tree and nothing falls, and then a short time later, voila! on the ground, waiting to be picked up! Enjoyed, Kenneth.
