Silky sunsets surrender to sweet serendipity's sway
As soulmates stumble upon each other's shining way
Tender touches tantalize, tempting tender hearts to stay
In tender tranquility, where true love's torches sway
Luminous laughter lingers, a lovely, lingering sound
As lovers' lips lock, lost in love's lush, lavish ground
Gentle gazes glide, gathering glimmers of golden light
Illuminating the path, where passion's pure delight
Whispers weave a wondrous web, a warm, welcoming space
Where words of wonder whisper, "You are my perfect place"
Softly spoken sweet nothings, a serenade so divine
A love so strong, so steadfast, forever intertwined
Forever's flame flickers, a fiery, fervent beat
As two hearts harmonize, in perfect, passionate repeat
In this love so true, so tender, so tantalizingly bright
Two souls surrender, swept away in love's sweet, shimmering light.
Love is a passionate portrait painted with the heart
Burnished brush strokes are a cherished work of art
when friendship blossoms as buds bloom into flowers
and romance reigns with caresses in garden bowers
Splashes of seafoam and evergreen flecks her eyes
Cerulean for the sea near the shore where she lies
Tint of Tuscan gold in the sand, reflected by the sun
and pastel pink on the lovely lips of my beloved one
Crimson on canvas, ruby red once she's been kissed
It's my intimate impression of her in a tender tryst
With carefully blended oils, her portrait takes shape
as I capture the delicate tresses curling on her nape
My deep desire tempts and teases my male senses
Against loving her, I will build no bulwark of defenses
My fingers long to fondle her cheek when she smiles
This beauty is not a woman who uses feminine wiles
I've adorned the canvas with her image as best I can
Flawed to a fault by my hand. I am an imperfect man
In this painted creation I hope I've been able to portray
the beauty and grace of her that words cannot convey
An Alliterative Pursuit Of A Lover
I will firstly frankly forwardly forthrightly fastidiously befriend you.
Then I will completely correctly courteously candidly chastely court you.
Then whencesoever I have wonderfully wackily warmly wooingly won wed you,
I’ll be free to laughingly longingly lustily lecherously lasciviously licentiously lengthily ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly ~ly
Gladly gently graciously gratefully gallantly grandly greatly love you forever.
I have been eclipsed
with silent spaces of black holes,
I was a numb night
who only befriended melancholy.
My lost soul glimmered softly
with your moonlit touch,
as I follow the trail of stars in your eyes now.
Drifting in dreams with you somewhere far,
our hands are never an inch apart.
Hide and seek of eternity and always
in our love keeps me breathing.
Oh my symphonious serendipity,
when your poetry held me with love,
the storms in my soul met shores of serenity.
Every sigh serenades
a cosmic connection of centuries old,
your overpowering affection
reflects rosy rhapsodies in my glass eyes.
Every day my sky waits for your radiance,
my sun and my moon shine in you only.

Lovely light laughing, lasting
Perfect promises in poetry, prose
Hearts hunting, hoping, hungry
Burning, brilliant, breathtaking
Waiting, wanting, willing to wait
For future feelings, flames
Tender, trusting, together
Desire dreams, dims and darkens
Until the universe unveils
Destiny, designed by double
Souls who sing silently, sure
Love like this lingers, lasts
Found in feelings for a friend
Stirring a sweetness that sends
Heavenly hope for happiness
Between beautiful and bright
Couples who color life in caresses
Kisses so kindly, comprehending
Love like life leaves a light
Fervent flames of feeling’s fire

meet me
under moonlight
minutes after midnight
meld with me
As
bees do of nectar
seeds do of soil
birds do of berries
shells do of sea . . .
I always think of You.
Twilight's aurora seems so perfect.
Lustrous shades of clementine,
caressing vivid violet visions.
Majestic moon enlightens,
as shadows come to life.
Flashes of light,
pierce through a black blanket.
Love wraps itself,
scintillating soaring spirits
to glide towards sphinxlike skies,
searching for secret stars.
Eyes glitter like sprinkles of stardust.
Lips blend like silent ovetones,
adrift in romantic musings.
Hearts pacify in peaceful rhythms,
each beat an endless reminder
this is no mirage from a sweet reverie.

By the Water's Edge
Georgia, with gilded glow imprinted in my mind.
Lake Lanier an island paradise divinely dwells
By the water's edge in haunting hue of cerulean blue
Where today we pledge vehement vows of love
In nature's pure pulchritude in transcendent twilight
Reflecting rich sunrays in your effervescent eyes.
My voice grows still in awe, amour awakened as time
Stands still, embracing embers of a sentient sunset.

CHERUB'S JUBILEE
When the ninth hour of night is cloaked in velvet
And small star kisses sprinkle the Junie-moon sky
The ambling amber moon glides with Glen Miller rhythms
Entrancing piquant paramours picnicking on Poet's Pie
Crickets crackle crisp serenades like squeaky violins
Fiddling mischievous melodies to delight
Hollow hoots of owls harmonize with wispy gossamer zephyrs
Enchanting the moonbeam lovers on this sighing summer's night
Under weepy willow branches swaying with subtle serpentine synergy
Fluttering wings and dancing hearts conduct a lover's rhapsody
As Cupid's Couple swing and swirl at the Cherub's Jubilee
While the winds over blue ocean chasms blow free
Furtive glances
Flirtatious smiles
Blushed faces
Hushed tones
Tentative you
Doubtful she
Roundabout questions
Evasive replies
Nothing clear
Nothing known
The ‘does s/he,
Does s/he not’ phase
Foggy minds
Soggy hearts
Rose tinted glasses
No more passes
Yearning for togetherness
Seldom, very less
Then gradually
That glint in the eye
And the racing heart
No waiting till tomorrow
The Cupid’s arrow
Oh! This heady feeling
Oh! These romantic beginnings
