What Darkness Stole

Deep
inside
my pocket

Where
orphaned thoughts
call home

I find
a voice
abandoned

Disheartened
and
alone

I take it
in my
fingers

To warm
within
my hand

A treasured
find
when free reminds

Just who
and what
I am

“We trip
the light
fantastic”

Much better
than
before

Reclaiming
what
the darkness stole

And
hid away
— abjured

(Inspired By Milton’s L’Allegro: October, 2025)

“Come, and trip it as ye go
On the light fantastic toe,
And in thy right hand lead with thee,
The mountain-nymph, sweet Liberty;”

Rushing Russias Vodka

He often rushed Russia's famed vodka
He had proudly named Bad Armoured Car,
Mouths daring to find the like in bar
Of the same strength and Field Marshall's Star.

But on alertness was set for a fall,
Quick to hear a call and kick a ball:
A strictness rearing for sure collapse,
Darting glances spotting the sure lapse
In a once decided strong bedrock
With a most formidable lock...

Jamo is no more The Real Terror
For every observed abjured error;
Now heads of hundreds to ruminate
Over a new chief to nominate...
For a ship with no space for doomed drunks,
Come defence time down lying like trunks.

The Amourette Autopsy

The Amourette Autopsy

In vesper’s curt caress there seems no bind
To daylight’s brim or morning’s dire decree-
Your vertigo embrace confounded vows,
Within a steel wheeled cauldron we stirred swamps
We hyperventilated hurricanes
Cajoled embraces, arrogated from
your groom and registry and welling eyes;
Celestial bliss, we buzzed God's prayer vault.

We even deemed the telescopic murk
a trough where genuflections might could reach;
You spun away to opium dens, supine,
I could not trace Icarian designs.
You tiptoed the obituary scene
Without your leaving even a toe’s wake-
But in your swirl you must have slipped but once
in its ambitious, enterprising ink.

Oh butterfly why you abjured your wings,
Regressed to the cocoon womb’s staid address?
I wish I could interrogate your wraith
by dream, concussion, disembodiment.
Enraptured by your sallow soft trained tress-
drapes gaped to manifest seraphic tones
of fairness, though distraught by varying hues
that sapience esteems the bends of life

I Am a Butterfly Girl

I am a butterfly girl
I wanna whirl the world
No no no no! No enemies
No no! No need of boundaries
I am a butterfly girl...

La la la la..Doffed my old skin
Oh! Yeah! My problem was so thin
Persistence and patience are my favourites
Which deliberately moulded my path right
Fear and shyness concealed my sight
But I abjured fears, revamped my traits

Yeah! That's how I made my first flight
That's how I reached this cherubic height

Na na na now don't stop me
Na na...Never try to catch me
Yeah, I am a butterfly girl
I always wanna whirl the world
No no no no! No enemies
No no! No need of boundaries
I am a butterfly girl....

Snared Love

O' love the heart is a blueprint of sky
Empty and darkness engulf at high
Of love no vastnesses there is
Of tear no drops of the ocean there is
Merely a salty sigh is flying on the lonely jeered sky
On the peak of mind tower just hauling a roar
No arrow, no bow, no Cupid in abjured nature
Every rose has died by its thorns and snare

A Winter's Serenade

The majestic moon abjured her light,
      beneath a clear and starless night;
Between the heaves of her first winter storm,
snow gently falls with alluring charm.
Twilight glistens on the frosty swirling air
      peaceful silence spreading everywhere.
Along the shimmering silver lake
an alluring scene, a breath to take.
Frosted pines stand tall and erect;
      the winter moon casts her full effect;
But not to wake but slumber on,
to dream of summer long since gone.
Meek is her soft and gentle voice;
lending to the poetry of her choice.

The Coulrophobiac

Smiles o' that clown, and jokes,
As he whispers into my ears,
Then fill my eyes,
With nothing, but tears.
Felt me, that he is gon dine,
The chills, which run down my spine,
His hysterical face and hat combine,
As his dreadful eyes towards me shine,
And that he craves for my soul, only mine.

II

Dremt hath I, to uncover his mask,
Abjured hath I, such simple task,
Or in the same dream, to tie him in shackles,
For having a look at him, my heart battles.
He fractures my jaw with his ankles,
And cuts my neck with broken bangles,
With every precise and possible angle.
I wake up and watch him playing at the rooftop,
When my fears reach the top,
Gazing through his eyes, my heart craves stop!

Soul Intact

Sanguine fluid hemorrhaging from a contrary source
My credence wavers at your broken promises
I once abjured all of your fatuous wars
Until I too was branded on your canvas’

Some tawdry amusement you secrete
Only to emerge in your tenebrous off time
A murmured melodious beat
To make a pedestrian appear sublime

I feel your jurisdiction, forced upon me
Subservience is yours only till my hands are more
Pride in your villenage, underlying acrimony
For the malevolence in my eyes, an unbroken core

Infuriating your might, nothing can defeat you
Animosity ablaze, cauterizing me, so cold.
Behind the pain you inflict, you find impenetrable fortitude
Your brawn may vanquish my body, never my soul.
