Silent Beauty
The tree. in its outspoken glory
will strive to tell its verdant story
Not only of its silent beauty
yet of its might and silent duty
As history unfolds before it
with majesty, it can’t ignore it
So quietly, it watches men
who make the same mistakes again
If only in its steadfast post
the words of what it knows could host
The world of knowledge it could share
discovered just by standing there
