Scintillating kisses, A lingering caress, A locked gaze, Surrounded by clouds of lust. A tacit kiss, A wistful touch, A fleeting gaze, Surrounded by clouds of obligation. ~~~ A weary kiss, An unwitting brush, A vacant stare, Surrounded by clouds of disenchantment. An aborted kiss, A void of touch, An averted glance, Surrounded by clouds of destruction.

So sad that many relationships end this way. One of my favorite songs is "For the Good Times" ~ Ray Price. The good times often seem not strong enough to outweigh the bad. Your poem says it perfectly. :)

Wow Paulette, from your title to your end line you have taken us through falling in love, marriage, the obligations of family and the struggles that tear some apart, resolving in divorce.
