What a week this has been! - Michael Jordan's Blog

&nbsp;&nbsp; As most of you know during the last 2-3 years I have been at home dealing with various health issues. Needless to say my life has been moving at a very slow pace here around my home and in our little small town that I in fact live right on the very edge of and my street goes over the canal and dead ends so things have moved really slow around me for quite some time.<br><div align="justify">&nbsp;&nbsp; Then over the last week, BAMB, enters one very slow paced old man into the main stream of College life and I feel like a Tortuous&nbsp; at the&nbsp; Rabbit convention and school hasn't even started yet. To be totally honest I almost gave up and walked (Well hobbled on my cane actually) out on the whole thing. Suddenly giving up and going on permanent&nbsp; Social Security&nbsp; no longer seemed such a bad idea, perhaps everybody was right about that after all.<br>The thing is you see like Jake and Elwood Blues I'm on a mission from God and he has a purpose for my life, giving up is not an option for me so I stuck it out and have my 13 unit schedule set.<br><div align="justify">&nbsp;&nbsp; This year will be spent back-tracking and refreshing/re-learning all the things that 30 years of being a junkie erased from my mind. I want to learn about things that never mattered before because I'm realizing that I'm so much more than just somebody who preys on and manipulates others to feed my own selfish addictive habits, which of course truly has been my life. I love to write but I know nothing of how to write correctly as I'm sure you all know by now. I want to thank you all for being so gracious to me regarding my writing but I have no illusion that I'm good writer I'm somebody who has a very powerful message earned through blood at the homeboy school and a strong desire to share that message with others in order to save them the horrific memories and devastating remorse that fills my every waking moment. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp; However to sum this all up in the name of God and under his direction I will learn the things I wish to know and one day I will be a good writer and more importantly a good example of live, learn and never forget that we all are a miracle and all have a place in the Kingdom of God, regardless of the depth of our own shame. I will always look into and dig through my past for within that pain rest the desire to always move forward, for I have learned when you stop moving forward your already moving back, Thank you.<br>God Bless and I love you guys, MJ<br></div></div><br>

You can learn the do's and don'ts of writing, penmanship, form and content, but the message you have to give, lives in your heart and soul and your message is deep and meaningful and touches the lives of all those who read it. That, in itself, the the essance of writing and poetry, to put into words the feelings and desires and lessons and love, and to share them in a meaningful way that will hopefully inspire and enhance or enrich another's life, you, my friend, already do that so well. I applaud you at going back to school to refine your methods and to learn more about your passion, but know, in your heart of hearts that YOU ARE A WRITER, Michael, and a DAMN GOOD ONE. but then, I may be prejudice, but I believe in you and the words you have written thus far. Oh yes sometimes a good place to lightly vent also. You just keep writing from your heart Michael . They say that is where the best poetry comes from. Besides you are working on publishing your fourth book if I am not mistaken so you do know how to write. Keep your faith in our Lord and he will lead you forward Michael.
