Son Wedding Poems and Vows

son wedding poems

Poetry can be a heartfelt way to express love and well-wishes for a son on his wedding day. Through carefully chosen words, a parent can convey emotions and memories that celebrate the joy of this special occasion. Poetry can capture the essence of the parent-child bond, the pride felt in seeing a son start a new chapter in life, and the hopes for a happy and fulfilling future ahead. The beauty of poetry lies in its ability to encapsulate deep feelings in a few lines, creating a lasting and meaningful message for the groom on his wedding day.

Wedding Toast
St. John tells how, at Cana's wedding feast, The water-pots poured wine in such amount That by his sober count There were a hundred gallons at the least. It made no earthly sense, unless to show How whatsoever love elects to bless Brims to a sweet excess That can without depletion overflow. Which is to say that what love sees is true; That this world's fullness is not made but found. Life hungers to abound And pour its plenty out for such as you. Now, if your loves will lend an ear to mine, I toast you both, good son and dear new daughter. May you not lack for water, And may that water smack of Cana's wine.

~*~wanting a Baby~*~
He asked me to give him a baby Which i have always dreamed of When i do have that baby boy or baby girl I'll know it will have been conceived with love For 9 months of my life, while my baby is growing They'll be a day and everyday after that my face will be glowing I want my child to know she or he can tell my anything No matter what it is I'm here for everything He shows me that he cares for me with such a great deal That's why i think we cant hide how we feel The words that he says bring hope to my life That's why I wouldn't mind being his wife.

Proud Diana
She watches from high above For that son she does love A princess on a Heavenly cloud For her young prince she is proud He has proposed to his lady sweet The woman that makes his heart beat In Heaven his mother will now sing For he gave his love a special ring With Heavenly wings, she jumps for joy You can hear her say, "that's my boy" On that royal wedding you can pray She will be there in spirit that day copyright Chris Smith 2010 .

Tears of Joy
To the church on time I made it, though down the aisle I almost fainted. With tears of joy, we stood at the altar-- our wedding vows we did not falter. Through love expressed, a son we were blessed. With tears of joy, I held him in my arms, praying he would never be harmed. Through God's grace, we three are saved. With tears of joy, we will meet again, when to heaven we ascend. At the Drive- Thru
We met up at the drive-thru Me and my Betty Sue Ain't it true? That one and one is two? But that math only works in the front seat And Lord have mercy, she was ever so sweet I couldn't take that pleasurable heat Her tender lovin' soon had me beat We weren't stoppin' Now she's about to be poppin' And her Daddy is a-hoppin' ---Mad! He got out his gun and told me, "Son! I'm gonna shoot you dead, If'n tomorrow you and Betty Sue, ain't wed!" ----- Hopefully this is allowed. Bit of an experiment. Fun to write.

~*~my Mother In-Law~*~
My mother in-law is a wonderful person. She treats me good and tells me all about her son. She said that she hopes the best for us. That she hopes we last long and someday get married. I love hearing her say that. It tells me that I have her approval. She even told me that the reason she tells me about her son is because she sees me like her daughter and I take that to the heart.
