Contest Description

I don’t know about you, but sometimes my poems just come from random first lines that appear in my head. I’ve been through my poems and found seven that I remember writing like that. But what would you do with those first lines?

Your challenge, should you accept: pick one of these first lines and complete the poem. It has to be a rhyming poem with good rhythm, and lots of creativity.

I heard the squelch of death again

A witch flits and twists through the indigo mist

A hexagon, a hexagon, you have to be a hexagon

If I was a penny and you were a pound

I’m going to sea in a blueberry boat

Will I be there on the rocket

I sent my wish on fairy wings

Have fun!
