I sent my wish on fairy wings
to stars in yonder sky
for happiness and tender things
and restful evenings nigh.
I kept my dreams in golden chests
locked fast against the doubt
with all my hopes at heart’s behest
that never will die out.
I sent my wish on fairy wings
to wispy clouds above
of orange blossom wedding rings
and night musings of love.
My wish floats on the silver streams
where fairies are asleep
and moves into the world of dreams
sweet images to keep.
