On Fairy Wings
I sent my wish on fairy wings
revealing how my soul did sing,
found inspiration in everything;
each day and night, those bells would ring.
I did not know just what to do;
I reached such heights, my spirit flew ~
I shared my best, then I withdrew.
Now, here I stand, starting anew…
The years have passed, my ink has dried;
the words won’t come, my tongue is tied;
I want to play but ought to hide.
I wonder, should I take this ride?
My hope is you will come to see
a poet breathes inside of me.
I seldom write,
but sailed the sea…
it's there where I found poetry.
