What to Submit?
1 original, poem on the theme of an Original Song Lyrics Poem - Performed with Music
Use the Lyric form (OK not ideal) but it will do for now. I am trying to promote the idea of a new Poetry Form => Song Lyrics!
Song lyrics are a special form of poetry. Compose a song and then perform it with voice and music, and record it. You can do this yourself if you have those skills. AND you are most welcome to use one of the host of fabulous 'text to song' tools that are now widely available. Simply add an MP3 file to the 'Listen to my Poem" tool on the website, or a Video link. This is a fabulous way to showcase your poem as a performance! It provides a wonderful way for readers to hear and enjoy your poem. Hopefully this will promote the idea of 'Song Lyrics' to be added to the Type of Poems List (without or without a performance - of course). The poem, not the performance, is the KEY to the judging. Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.

You are welcome to enter this contest, whether or not you won a prize in one of my previous contests.
