This is one of the first songs I've written. The time limit for audio makes it difficult to include an entire song from start to finish... so I try to trim to the most important parts of the song for getting the melody and a good idea of how the whole song comes together. Submitting to song lyrics poetry contest.

This is so creative, Crystal. I love how you included chords. I learned guitar in my 40's but could never play by ear. I always needed the chords written above the words. Then I tried to create my own song. Only one though. I remember practicing many strings and songs two years straight. Then 15 years later I picked up a guitar and forgot all the chords I had learned except for a few. So disheartening. Congrats on your win and for having a nice singing voice too.

Why thank you so much! Hey have you ever tried ukulele? I learned it by watching videos online...I was playing songs within a couple days! I can't play by ear either... but the more i played uke, the better I became at hearing which cord goes where. A guitar has a much fuller, more sophisticated sound but ukulele is way easier! Xo
