What to Submit?

1 original, poem on the theme of .............1 Limerick on the theme of St. Patrick's day.  For example: leprechauns, shamrocks, four leaf clovers, Ireland, drinking, green, pot of gold etc.       

Syllable count and rhyme will be strictly enforced.  Lines 1, 2 and 5 have 7-10 syllables while lines 3-4 have 5-7 syllables.  Lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyme and  lines 3-4 rhyme.

Limericks are supposed to be funny and are usually on the raunchy side, BUT​, for this contest please keep it clean.

Rules:

1 Limerick only

Must be a new poem with date on  bottom (nothing earlier than 3/13/17)

No profaniity or vulgarity.

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
