'Twas a horrible thing called the blight,
diseased potatoes a depressing sight,
starvation begone,
crossed over the pond,
arrived Ellis Island future looks bright.

Glad to see what you did here. Did you watch the movie with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise coming to America after that blight? Forgot its name now. Sadly, Americans did not welcome Irish here at first. they were considered lower than the low, but I sure am glad to be part IRISH.
