A fearful loss of light.
A trepidation of the night.
Words cannot spirng upright
When you have loss of sight!
Contest Name: In The Dark
I hope you can come up with the words for my new contest. It is a contest of the dark and darkness. You may have light within this contest, as long as it's covered up by darkness! This is such a dreary subject by many, but everyone has been in the dark before, I just want to tap into those feelings of when you were there, the dim, the dark, and the dismal.
Requirements:
To write a poem, in free verse form, that has something to do with the dark or darkness.
Be creative, for example: Depression or the fear of riding a bike for first time, etc. it doesn't have to have the word dark in the poem as long as it's dark.
Form:
Free-Verse, have at it.
Length:
It can be anywhere from 1 line up to 100+ lines! I'm not really worried about the length, as long as it's good. But do try to keep it reasonable!
Entry:
The word "dark" must be in the title somewherre. Some examples include: Darkness Reigns : The Ugly-Darkling : The Edge of Infinity (As the Dark Nears) etc...
The word "dark," or any of its forms, does NOT have to be in the poem.
No names on poems.
Poem may contain Italics or Bold.
Place the date the poem was written (not when it was posted) at the bottom of the poem. Poem must've been written within the past month.
