The Dark Night
The evil in the darkness crept upon me
like a haunted soul
it's swirling stench entrenched itself in my veins
like a cauldron bubbling filled with shadows
that covet my throat with its knife's edge
to let my blood drip onto the floor of eternity
without conscience, leaving a barren space
growing darker as death comes towards
to blackened an already black night
where my skin crawls exposed to uncertainty
to breathe another breath in a nightmare
where there is no escape, finding me minuscule
as to not be worthy of its evil wrath
it was there I found peace for my fate
