Blog title got your attention? Good. Lets roll..."Stand As 1" Poetry Radio Show (9/15/13 Episode): The support on there yesterday was WONDERFUL! A few international poets did call in...the great surprise was from Eileen Ghali. A truly awesome poet & reader on the mic. Incredible! I implore all of you poets to call into my next show and read a poem! It's a very invigorating experience, I promise! =D The next episode will be on
Sunday morning (same time as before), September 29th. My special guest cohost will depend on the winner of my current "Know your Place" contest (which already filled its limit in a week), so stay tuned for that! This show is for you all to share you voice on a more personal level with us all and you can hear me act like a complete fool. Why miss that? You can catch the previous shows here:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/standas1My 1st Poetry Book available on Amazon: This book isn't really NEW news, since it's been out August 2011, but it's still good for those new folks that I've made some awesome connections with on here who have asked me if I've published any of my stuff. The book is called
"As I Stand". It's a 200+ page paperback of about 50+ poems & Haikus for your enjoyment! I don't have a small, unsloppy enough link for it. But, just do a search on Amazon under "Drake Eszes" or "As I Stand". :) May it be some sort of inspiration for those who have been hesitant on publishing/self-publishing their own book. Don't wait. Do it! It's a huge achievement to be proud of for yourself.
Miscellaneous Stuff you may/may not care for: So, outside of PS & my regular job, I'm working on my own video games. I've been doing this since early 2012. I'm taking my skills with the pen and scripting out my own screenplay for 2 of the 4 games I'm working on. It's a long & arduous process, but it's quite invigorating & fun! Also, I have created some of the music for our games in the works, which I also directed based off what I've written. One of those projects is a nicely sized Video Game Compilation Soundtrack which I recently released on a website called Bandcamp. It contains some Piano, Acoustical, & Breakbeats/Dance music. While I did direct them all, I did not produce them all. I only made a few myself. So, if you're interested, have a listen here:
