I am a Californian, born and raised. My husband, Greg, and I Iive in San Diego, California. We have two grown sons, both married. Our older son, Eric, is an artist and filmmaker and our younger son, Jeffrey, is a film editor and composer. Their work is featured on their website, Albino Fawn Productions. We have two adorable grandsons, the younger just recently born in June, 2021! We also have an adorable granddaughter! I was an R.N. for many years, and chose to retire early. I am a Christian and active with the women's ministry at my local church. I love music, the arts, and have dabbled with poetry off and on for the last several years. 

Out Of Commission!

Hi Soupers!

If you don't hear from me for awhile it is because I am "out of commission" due to a kitchen disaster...broken water pipe under sink, repair, then another undetected leak...leading to mold issues and tearing up of my entire kitchen and flooring due to water damage...yada yada! Anyhow, I have to replace everything, and luckily have home owners insurance. I can't write poetry with all of this happening, so I wish you all happy writing and I will try to check in to read some of it. So, I'm not going anywhere, just silent on the writing end of things!

Hope you get the kitchen sorted out soon I am sure there is a poem or two that will be inspired by your disaster with the plumbing - the main thing Laura is you are OK - the title of the blog made me thing you had health issues - I'm sure its stressful at the moment but soon you will have a brand new kitchen:-) hugs Jan xx

sorry for this dilemma you are having, sweetie. But think of it this way, maybe you get some cool NEW stuff out of it since it's covered by insurance. almost wish it would happen to ME. Let us know right away when you are back, Ok?

Use the turmoil, feel the hurt, the frustration, dig deep and write in blood,...you are unsung, ...perhaps this is the catalyst for change, too many skate over true feelings and hide behind dissolvable emotions, this is your opportunity to write of rage....lol....man up Laura..X Ian
