I am a Californian, born and raised. My husband, Greg, and I Iive in San Diego, California. We have two grown sons, both married. Our older son, Eric, is an artist and filmmaker and our younger son, Jeffrey, is a film editor and composer. Their work is featured on their website, Albino Fawn Productions. We have two adorable grandsons, the younger just recently born in June, 2021! We also have an adorable granddaughter! I was an R.N. for many years, and chose to retire early. I am a Christian and active with the women's ministry at my local church. I love music, the arts, and have dabbled with poetry off and on for the last several years.

Hi Soupers!

If you enjoy viewing creative, alternative, independent films, both my sons, Eric and Jeffrey Leiser are filmmakers and are promoting their fourth film release, APOCALYPSIS. They have a website: Albino Fawn Productions, if you are interested. This latest film is a sci-fi / fantasy, about the future, based in NYC. They are doing an IndieGoGo fundraising: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/apocalysis-theatrical-release-2017-film-animation#/.

 If you are interested in donating $25 minimum, you will receive a free, signed CD of THE SUMMIT symphony that Jeffrey Leiser (who has poems on this website) composed last year in 2016. Just email Jeff at jeffrey@albinofawn.com for CD after donating to receive it.

 I realize this is a shameless promotion, but I want to get the word out so those who enjoy the arts (which I believe many here do) would not mind helping struggling artists. You can also see some of their past films on YouTube, or buy their DVDs, art, music, etc.

Well heck yes - way back in 1972 - 'Silent Running," and later 'Europa Report,' 'Donnie Darko,' 'Upstream Color,' Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,' 'District 9," and the list goes on... Dang, Laura, you look too young for all that.

Totally agreed - Robert Osborne was such a welcoming, good personality on the screen, full of knowledge and appreciation - it was contagious.

Thanks, Doug! I'm older than you think....! I have come to love many offbeat films, as well. Also love those oldies, go TCM! Sad Robert Osbourne just passed away. He was a great commentator on films.

It's nice to feel proud of their accomplishments, Laura. I can't say I can support them with a donation at this time, but I do want to check out the video sometime. Congrats to your boys!
