Laura Leiser Biography

I am a Californian, born and raised. My husband, Greg, and I Iive in San Diego, California. We have two grown sons, both married. Our older son, Eric, is an artist and filmmaker and our younger son, Jeffrey, is a film editor and composer. Their work is featured on their website, Albino Fawn Productions. We have two adorable grandsons, the younger just recently born in June, 2021. We also have two adorable granddaughters, the youngest born on 2024. I was an R.N. for many years, and chose to retire early. I am a Christian and active with the women's ministry at my local church. I love music, the arts, and have dabbled with poetry off and on for the last several years.

A Special New Poetry Soup Member!

I just HAD to announce to you all that my son, Jeffrey Leiser, joined the Soup today! I'm very excited about this, and have been encouraging him to join and share his poetry for some time now. I hope you will take the time to welcome him to this site :)

Also, recently a friend, John Watt, joined PS, but has yet to post his awesome poetry. I hope you will encourage him to do so, as he is quite good and loves to write sonnets!

That's great! Jeff (and I) love all dogs, of course! He worked in a dog daycare, was a vet assistant, and a dog walker in NYC for awhile.

A BIG Thank You to everyone who has welcomed my son, Jeff, to the Soup! I really appreciate your encouragement for him, and hope he'll take the time to post a bit...he does have a full time job and supports a wife. Doesn't have the luxury of free time like I do, not that I'm THAT lazy, of course, HA!
