Hey guys! It has been a LONG time since I held a contest. Check out the details of my latest contest below :) It's pretty straightforward, but let me know if you have any questions!

Contest Description

What to Submit?

1 original poem in either Haibun or Sonnet form. Please pay attention to the rules of each form and PLEASE make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors. Use any theme you'd like!

Prizes

First Prize, Glory
Second Prize, Glory
Third Prize, Glory
Honorable Mentions

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.

A Note to Poetry Contestants

You are welcome to enter this contest, whether or not you won a prize in one of my previous contests.

Heather, I love both forms so it will be hard to choose, but I will let MUSE go where she will and hopefully create you something beautiful, but you cannot rush MUSE, she needs to dwell and ponder for a bit ~~

Hello Heather... I am pleased you chose Haibun and have just entered your contest with one - my first poem of the day... I do write a lot - 70 in the last fortnight, although the next fortnight won't show many as I'm going on vacation to Montpellier, a coastal city in the South of France.

Andrea, I know I've seen you write Haibun before and I remember you doing it well! But you are the queen of sonnets, so I hope to at least see one of those from you ;)
