First of all, congratulations to the winners of my first contest!!! You can check out the winning poems on the Member Contest page.

I have to say, it was NOT easy to judge this contest. I was not prepared for such an onslaught of expertly written and uniquely observant poems. I was introduced to art I had never seen before, and I also got to read really beautiful descriptions of some of my all-time favourite paintings.

I'm so glad everyone enjoyed this contest! Like I said, it was SO difficult to judge. Next time I host a contest, can someone please submit a bad poem to make my life easier? :)

Thank you, Heather........I am in such wonderful company, who are artists in poetry! So this is my honor! Andrew Wyeth is one of my favorite artists....it would be hard to choose between his paintings. I love the earthy tones, and simplicity of his work Thanks for giving us this opportunity to see other poets favorites! :)
