To self: Today, be mindful of Name Calling.
During this political season and beyond, remind yourself to be mature enough to avoid name calling.
Remember when you were a child and often resorted to calling a sibling or playmate names? Though wrong, at least you were "being a child."
You're not a child any more, David. God knows.

"Strange how mean words can return to ones thoughts, years after they’ve been callously thrown at you. They replay in your mind, spiking a sense of remembered pain. Nasty name calling can be an ugly memory that stabs unexpectedly—not unlike a nightmare where you wake up crying. Sticks and stones, may break your bones – yet, cruel names can hurt you."
- Nikki Sex, Abuse
"The people who call you names are just trying to make themselves feel better. They've screwed up too. You're not the only one."
- Kody Keplinger, The DUFF:
Designated Ugly Fat Friend
"Beware of anyone who calls you bad names merely for asking honest questions."
- Jim Goad

Psalm 109:2-5...
For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer. So they reward me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
