My story was published in Frontier Tales this month. It's called Cowboys in the Badlands, based on the Eakins painting by the same name. Have a read and give me a vote if you like it.

Thanks, Judy. I don't know your marital status, but I would say that any good-looking girl who loves baseball would definitely have a pack of male suitors to choose from.

Thanks to everyone for the nice congratulations! Funny, in retrospect, I realize that most of my poems were already stories anyway, narratives rather than word-pictures or emotions, so it was hardly like crossing a chasm, more like taking a fork in the path. Cheers, and thanks to everyone.

PS Roy worked very hard on that story & he did a lot of self-editing ALL of us need to do more self-eding!

I have just finished reading your story, Roy !! I loved the characters, and their names, the imagination that went into your tale......but the ending, was the kicker !! Loved that last line!! My vote for you....good luck !!
