Game or Lame? A contest for comments?

Would anyone besides me think it would be fun to read outrageous comments left on peoples poems? When I say outrageous, I mean funny, strange, or mean ones, not the congrats comments, or the fluff comments. Arild left a comment on one of my poems that had me laughing out loud:

"Holy commoly!! I wouldn`t betray you,dear Susan!:-) OMG..oh well..lovely name calling here.LOL,my friend Michael will need a CPR after this entry!"

Does anyone else get fun comments? Would you like to share them? Obviously they would have to be entered as a "poem" for this contest to work. Does this sound like something fun to read, or something lame? Are you in?

I too would say it will cause more trouble than any of us want to deal with, the last 3 comments I left that got me in BIG trouble were "You should be proud of yourself" "Can you tell us which meaning for the contest word you want our focus on?" and "hmmm" so....no I don't think it's a good idea

Hi, when I put a comment on someone's poem I truly spend time to read the poem and try to understand where the feelings/story came from. Maybe what I say doesn't seem great, but I would be terribly upset if someone thought I was a meanie. I just voice my opinions and would say it may hurt someone's feelings.... so no don't post. Lee

susan, I read this comment you are showing and found it funny too. I really enjoy funny comments. Also, I'd say this would be a cute idea, but I think there might be some who would take offense to it if their comments were used as a "strange" one or was shown to be making fun of them because they did not understand someone's poem. However, I would love to see the MEAN ones shown, so we could all be aware of those meanies out there!!! Also, to understand why a comment is so funny, one would have to maybe show what about THEIR poem MADE someone's comment so funny or strange. Get my drift? This could be kind of complicated unless we could make comments on what was funny about the comment!

yes, you would post it as a poem. no, there wouldn't have to be any names on it - who left the comment or for whom it was left - I think if we did it that way we wouldn't have to ask permission, since this is a public site and anyone can view anyone else's comments at any time. this would just be for entertainment purposes only :)

It makes no sense... But Arlid wins... No one beats him, when it comes to comments. I do enjoy Michael, and fascinating new poets like... Leonora And Justin... How about Yasmin& Rix. They Rock me with comments every now and than. how about wonderful commenters like Russell And Andrea. I mean if you allow more than one comment and poet I see it happening... Maybe you should hold another blog were we can post many comments that chap or tickle or hides... Ooo and I definitely would look for some of a poet name nikko...who would rock me and keep me on my toes with the knowledge she actually got my poems. (I think) I also love a past comment by Debbies were she wanted 2 scratch my eyes out
