Castle Bound

The series of Poems hat I have been running for the last several days, all of the ones about medieval life, were based on me and my friends. We have a group of friends who have known each other and been the best of friends since 1985. Each years on the last weekend in June we go on vacation as a group. This used to include a very large number of kids but they are all grown now. This last June we went to Ravenwood Castle in Ohio and so I wrote these poems and put them into book form and gave them out that weekend. Eric and Maggie were the King and Queen since they were staying in the King’s Chamber. John and Pam were the Knight and Lady in Waiting because John is a cop and Pam does in fact keep him waiting. Keith and Marriann were the Seer and the Conjurer because they stayed in one of the cottages near the castle and so I needed to explain why they would not be in the castle. The Plouck’s are the antithesis of the Duke and Ditches and they were tickled to be cast as such villains. Barb and I stayed in the dungeon, (It is really a nice room, and so our characters had to end up there also. That’s where this all came from. It was not aimed at anyone on the soup.
