Once Every Year

We look forward to Easter; it's observed once every year
during one of two spring months when budding flowers appear.
In the west where the sunsets, Easter Sunday can arrive
as soon as, March twenty-two…late as, April twenty-five.
March twenty-one determines if Easter's early or late—
note the full moon that's charted on or in front of that date.
The first Sunday that follows the first Full Moon you just found
is the date we'll celebrate Easter Sunday in our town.
Some folks here will tell stories of one man other men killed—
some will tell of a bunny and all the baskets he's filled.
MARCH 23, 2008 is EASTER SUNDAY.
