A Peek Inside

I stand in awe; when newborns are Settled into warm cozy beds ~ Living and breathing in our world ~ Time to time turned, shaping soft heads. I feel; full to overflowing With love that bursts forth in my soul ~ For the innocence of new life ~ One great gift God chose to extol. I wonder; if this small person Will someday be all they can be ~ Or maybe stray from goodness that ~ Anchors honor and decency. I understand; motivation And the freedom to make a choice ~ Hinges on strength of character ~ And how high one lifts one’s small voice. I believe; The Lord God knew all Before you filled your lungs with air ~ Like ev’ry amazing new life ~ The Almighty chooses to share. Caryl Ramsdale Copyright © 2011 All rights reserved. I believe that too my friend. He gives us everything we're born with. The color of our eyes, hair, skin, our parents and the country of our birth. What we do with it and what we choose to become because of it is our gift back to Him. God Bless, JB

You are so right Judy...Think I'll shorten my signature to CR. hahaha There's another Caryl on here so I try to limit everyone's confusion by typing Caryl Ramsdale. It's unusual to run across anyone with that spelling. Only found 2 my whole lifelong. CR

Caryl, I'm by no means religious. But my life presently is drawing me into the abyss of darkened souls. This wonderful piece, has not only made me cry, it relays anew and hope. Thank you for penning this beauty. Good luck in Paula's new contest, James xx

James: Thank you for this heartfelt comment. I've missed reading some of your works recently. Sorry my friend. I've been offline mostly working on my series poem collection. Think of you often. Peace, Caryl
