Book of Poems - Update Part 2 - Richard Moriarty's Blog

It is one thing to write poetry; quite another to enclose them into a book of poetry.  I've been working on this project - with the help of a wonderful lady in Missouri, who works for a small publishing company.  The company doesn't publish books of poetry, specializing in a variety of religious topics. But, my daughter works for this company and put me in touch with the lady who is in charge of graphics for the company.  What I wanted was to include a number of sketches to illustrate some of the poems; just to bring a little more life to the book.  Fun, and challenging.  For the past several months, about 6 of them, we have been working together to bring this together.  And, I'm pleased to say, nearly there.  Maybe another 60 or so days worth of time.  Not long in publishing parlance.  My book, as I told you in an earlier blog, is entitled "Rivers of Time".  It will be about 60 page long, and include a dozen or so illustrations and about 3 dozen poems.  I'm not trying to include every thing I have written, just selected works broken up into 4 sections, dealing with different aspects of time.  I have found that publishing a book is not something you rush; just like writing.  But, when we are finished with the project, it will be in a finished state - more or less, for the publishing company to actually print.  I'll just need help on copywrite and registration numbers and certificates. 

I hope some of you, will be interested on completion to consider obtaining a copy.

I really believe that Rivers of Time will be one that you will enjoy and be proud to have in your personal library.
