2022 Poetry Marathon FINISH LINE !!!

RUNNERS READY… SET… GO!
Mile 1 of the 2022 Poetry Marathon Contest began on June 11, 2022. After 267 days, 27 contests, 945 submitted poems, and 288 poems placed, the results are in.

First Place congratulations go to Susan Ashley! Susan was the front runner, setting the pace from Mile 5 to the finish line. Susan had 22 placements out of 27 contests, 16 of which were podium finishes (1^st, 2^nd, or 3^rd place). Susan, the following clerihew is for you:

These are the poems of the 28 qualifiers of the 2022 Poetry Marathon, which had already been placed in the marathon and were handpicked by the poets themselves to submit to this FINAL contest. Regardless of each poet’s placement, every poem is brilliant! They are all AWESOME! These 28 qualifiers took the time to support my 2022 Poetry Marathon Contest, and in doing so followed the # 1 rule of marathoners—they stayed the course and FINISHED!
