Haiku - Celestial Seduction

lights weave through snowflakes teasing and twirling about distant stars dancing a brilliant display wearing only hand-me-downs the moon steals the show

When Again We Meet - Sijo

When Again We Meet
Softly he says, "Should I die do not wait for me." She smiles, "Just as the moon exhales no light without first a breath from the sun, without you I'd be in darkness; what is paradise without light?"

A Moment In Time

In that moment his eyes swirled
with all of the love he held for me;
with every ounce of life that he
would happily lay down for me

In that moment I felt the covering
of all the pain I had ever felt;
the vanishing of every tear shed
through the trials life had dealt

In that moment the wind whispering
my destiny became a roar;
lifting me from my path riddled
with obstacles, making me soar

In this moment my heart does
not hurt; my tears do not sting
Let me live in this moment for
life; until my requiem they sing

Until Then

When her smiles are no longer real
And she laughs only now and then
If every thought is now kept sealed
Hold her until she feels again

When memories only bring tears
And joy's lost in "remember when"
In the darkness quiet her fears
Hold her until she feels again

A heart scarred and of love bereft
Empty voids her only spokesmen
When she says numb is all that's left
Hold her until she feels again

Buried Alive

Buried Alive

These walls....
they laugh at me but no one else hears
They steal the very breath of me
...but no one seems to notice
They blare a suffocating silence
Leave invisible abrasions from unseen restraints

These walls I once called home
These walls have become my coffin

~FJ Thomas

Most of us run through varying emotions at times. It helps to jot them down and get them out ;) These walls can be emotional or very literal. Usually the one causes the other to collapse in along with it.
The important thing is to remember that there are others who very much understand how you feel; you are not alone. So never give up!

Unspoken Harmony

Her dress flowing I watch her laugh as she runs through the trees
They stand tall at her regalness, bloom full at her smile
She glides as if on air; her grace natural, incomparable

The breeze blowing through her hair she seems unreal
As if specific time and ability was spent on her alone

I look at him watching her, and she has no idea...
The admiration in his eyes or the hopes in his heart
She pulls light out in everything she’s around

I see her light in him; watching as his face glows
There is nothing in this world worth more to him

I look at him watching her, and she has no idea...
How he would give everything he has to make her smile;
everything that he is to make her love him
He stares in her eyes and I see all that she is reflected back

I look at her watching him, and he has no idea...
that she smiles because he is already everything to her

At the End

Ever so much more than friend
Wearing scars of love's lullaby
I can still see you at the end

Our song often left wounds to mend
Each time we'd return; blood barely dry
Ever so much more than friend

To the depths of spite we'd descend
But against hatred's grip we'd ally
I can still see you at the end

Betrayed by hope left alone to fend
Holding on; clasped hands cracked & dry
Ever so much more than friend

Cuts slowly heal, the burn lessened
The allure to give up we'd deny
I can still see you at the end

We stand frayed on a path we didn't intend
My hand in yours I walk with closed eyes
Ever so much more than friend
I can still see you at the end

Five Letter Words

Often women dream about famed lover sweet
While stars shine above mused quiet meets
Coded notes given neath party arbor
Eager hands which cause fresh ardor
These alter truth while love's fight wanes
Breed venom, fuels anger, solid bonds drain
Rings' blest oaths rival heavy chain
Death comes swift where wrong ideas start
False charm tears unity apart
After dawns first light sleep ought cease
Madam casts aside bogus scene; finds peace
