Starring Miss Clara Bow
Here's a tidbit you may not know
About the silent screen siren Miss Clara Bow:
All her films were a hit,
What she had was called "It",
And the '20s were lit with Miss Bow in the show.

Then There Was Theda
The vamp Theda Bara was quite a gal
On the screen in her roles as a "femme fatale".
She wore costumes revealing
That were often scene-stealing
But were still quite appealing to male co-stars, et al.

 Naughty Nita Naldi
Silent screen star Nita Naldi was an Irish dolly
Who began her career in the Ziegfeld Follies.
She was pursued in films by paramours,
Such as R. Valentino and J. Barrymore,
And finally "talked" on TV in the '50s, by golly.

Premium MemberWhat a Ziegfeld Line

Many Ziegfeld Girls started out wearing costumes so fine.
We did not know them, but they were gorgeous and danced in a line.
This photo is amazing from 1941.
It has Hedy Lamar, Judy Garland and Lana Turner, what fun!

Premium MemberMy Prissy Aunt Minnie Back In the Day

These young people of today; what will become of them?
They are so open, so free-spirited, so annoyingly risqué.
I had no words for my prissy uptight great-great aunt, so I kept mum.
Then I found a provocative photograph of her back in “the day”.

I said to my mother “have you ever seen Aunt Minnie like this?”
My mother laughed so hard, she nearly fell over. It was her all right.
She was a Ziegfeld model, barely wearing clothes, a sexy little miss.
We decided to keep it quiet. But neither of us ever forgot this sight.

By a French Window

By a French Window

By a French window, Nelly rocked;
Light gray hair, wisps affray, staring,
She cared not what others thought,
Nelly was wild and daring.

Daring that is in her daydreaming,
For she was rocking and remembering,
She would tell a tale to a child, though,
Adults thought her mind was slumbering.

Nelly danced for King George in her day;
Entertained a State Dinner at the White House;
Married to three movie stars,
She still liked to wear her gold lame blouse.

If she chose to look into your eyes,
You would see deep wonders hiding;
Nelly was a Ziegfeld Lady;
Spending her days, the past abiding.

Cinema Memory Lane

Cinema Memory Lane # 2

An Affair To Remember with the sexiest
Bombshells Of The Silver Screen in the
Casino Royale, this was a
Day Of Heaven just like the time
East Of Eden in the beautiful
Fields Of Dreams with the
Gold Diggers Of Paris playing in the
House Of Games and
It All Happened One Night, also there was
Jezebel who fell in love with the
King Of The Gypsies one of the
Last Action Hero who started the
Mutiny On The Bounty but had
No Way Out, he surrendered
On The Waterfront now he is
Pumping Iron with
Quigley Down Under, like a
Raging Bull they are planning
Something Wild, now it will be
To Be Or Not To Be an
Unforgiving
Victory, free again, now their
Wings Of Desire is to ride with
Xena The Warrior Princess in her new
Yellow Rolls Royce to meet a
Ziegfeld Girl in New York
