Yelled Poems

Premium Memberour platform had no newspapers, so i yelled at someone to throw one across the tracks

i need to know what's going on
we're barren over here, yet over there
look at them smugly reading the NEWS

'can you throw one over pal?'
he pretends not to hear me
and looks down the platform

he's pretending to see if his train is about to
arrive, thomas and friends, and it won't be
here soon, so wind it in

i give up and wonder why
platform 1, surely the pinnacle,
has been abandoned of any recreation

although next to my son
is a miniscule glass bottle of whisky
which implies someone was having fun without me there

has peace been achieved?
has the new plastic waste initiative justified government intervention?
how many wickets do we need this morning?

i yell these at the man over on platform 2
i am then taken away
and hope to be a headline in the morning

Premium MemberThe Old Town Cat Lady Who Yelled

There was a dame from Westminster,
Who lived her life as a spinster.
She was old and gray,
Yelled at cats all day,
And that is why no one missed her.

At the Hospital
——————————-

Today as skin was torn
Off the bottom of my foot,
I yelled out and began to cry.
I thought, “How often
Do I need to prove my strength?” and
Then, for the first time in 50 years,
I heard myself
Ask God,”Why? Why?” At which I
Instantly felt ashamed, for it is mine
To accept whatever He allows.
Then, I realized I felt some anger, for
He promised to provide
The measures needed to meet the trials…
Yet I felt inadequate.

I felt angry at my beloved, my Father,
My creator, my God…
Although I knew God
Can handle anger,
For it comes
As a dimension of human love
— and in me at least, quickly passes.

My cracks He will mend.
My tears He collects.
My strength is in Him.
Our shared love is committed.
My calling on Him is eternally answered.

How I Yelled At God

/How I yelled at God/

I saw a bird twirls towards me
"looks like a bat" No ! "it's an hawk"
I only heard the resounding flaps
of its wings.
It sang in such an undecipherable language,
Language no one understands but I.
What a bird !

"Boy ! Kneel & say a few prayers"
authoritatively it sang.
As Muslims revolve the holy 'kaã'bah'
& with silky looks and remorseful hearts
hold its shield firmly.
& Christians confess their dooms in presence
of 'Holy Mary'
I closed my eyes,knelt down & spoke.

Holy bird from the most high !
Tell father when you reach home, tell him
that this small boy has written tons of
words of hatred to himself,
word he'd ne'er say to his enemies.
Tell him this small boy here will end it all
if HIS interference takes too long

Premium MemberI Accuse You She Yelled

I accuse you, she yelled, pointing to those who thought her dead.
Cowards, they had sailed away after proving her innocence.
Her family was horrified, because now it meant she was a witch.
They screamed and ran away, leaving her behind. She cared not.

I ACCUSE YOU! She screamed at the men on board the ship
Her anger was a bellow across the water. A wise woman came to her.
She put her arm around her and led her to her haven in the forest.
"What is wrong with my people?" the girl asked.

"They know not, what they do," the crone said, her face was harsh
But her soul was kind. The girl sobbed herself to sleep that night.
Left in the forest with a stranger, for her family was too afraid to
Allow here back into the family. Afraid of her witchcraft.

The crone taught her how to garden, gather seeds, fix poultices.
She learned to love the forest animals, the fox, and the squirrel.
She learned what she needed to survive, which was much
As she was alone now, shunned by her family's terror of witches.

Trump Had Loudly Yelled

Trump Had Loudly Yelled

We had heard that Trump out loudly yelled;
To be a big grouch, when balloon propelled;
Smooth blade dull,
And a numb skull;
Then became upset when he was tightly held.

Premium MemberShe Grew Tired of Being Yelled At At Work

She’d tired of being yelled at,
At work throughout the day,
She’d tired of the boss never listening,
To the ideas she had to say.

You see, her opinions were fine, and
Her thoughts were perfectly sound,
Actually her ideas for improvement,
Were bordering on profound,

But her boss ignored them, he berated,
And yelled her to the floor,
And she had simply given up,
Her thoughts walking out the door.

She’d tired of not having a voice,
She decided to simply stop,
She decided to be a mannequin,
Be the object in the shop.

The Rebel Yelled

The winds of change are at hand,
No longer will I be idle on this land.
I may just be a speck on a pebble.
But this is what happens when you're a rebel.

You let go of everything you know,
Not being tied down by everyone else's show.
I have seen what most have to give,
And that simply isn't the way I want to live.

Being repressed for all of my life,
I have been bombarded by strife.
Having the scars to back up this claim,
There is only one who I have to blame.

The man who hides behind despair,
Whose dreams passed by without a care.
Seeing blood for most of my days,
I have been too ashamed of lights rays.

It blinds my eyes and highlights the mutilation,
How can I enjoy myself while feeling such confrontation?
Half a lifetime ago I escaped to a shore near hell,
Everyday I tore myself down, further I fell.

And so the rebel within me rebelled,
He shout, he hollered, and he yelled.
I can no longer afford to hide,
So from now on I will be on my side.

With a kind hand I will take off the dust
Hoping for love I will settle for lust.
A new road has arisen,
And so I leave the confines of this prison.

You Thought As I Yelled Moaned Someone Elses Name

You think you can have me in control
Sorry bout ya, its not the way i roll
It has always been known
Im not the one you can own
You think you can tie me down
Ha! you're just a clown
You said that you're real
All i can think is whats your deal
You think i'll give you a call
Doubt it, you're such a slimeball
You think you can make me shake
Well guess what that was fake
You thought I'd fall for you
Pshh..please you ain't my boo
Maybe you shouldn't have been cheating
Ya..I know about your down low meeting
You ate it...You thought it'd be me you'd be boning
While it was someone else's name I was moaning
It wasn't worth the moans I had to fake
Once I realized you couldn't get him to wake

Yelled Silence

my words lost on your ears
deaf to the world.
the world can't be your oister
when it's black
falling upon closed eyes.
goodness knows, i tried.
so hard my screams were as shrill
as your refusal to acknowledge them.
people ask me if you left that night.
i shake my head.
i tell them,
you were gone long before that.

When the Heart Yelled Sos

When sometimes things are wrong
You wish there is some one you can hold
When sometimes things gets complicated
You wish there are less mysteries to unfold

A wish to have a guiding star
To guide you right and show you the way
To fulfilled a dream still afar
But there are none, only dismays…

When at times the heart contains much emotion
You wish there is some one there for you
But there are only echoes of voices,
Which leads you to nowhere new

Then you realize, you are on your own
By yourself to continue the voyage of change
You looked around for help
But assistance came to no avail

Not knowing where to go
Not knowing where to continue
You came to a halt
Searching for unwritten clue

Who were there and comforted you
When you need a shoulder to borrow?
Who were there and hears you
When you pour out tears of sorrows?
~None~
