Silverback led his gorilla by the wrist
out into the fog and missed,
lost his heart and then his way,
sadly, he was heard to say,
"Don't get me wrong,
I'm no King Kong,
it's plain to see,
so, don't make a monkey out of me."
Silverback took his gorilla by the hand,
looking for the promised land,
a jungle bungle at very best,
made him roar and beat his chest,
"What can I say,
she's no 'Fay Wray,'
here on the ground
I'm an ape, I don't monkey around."

How I love those movies of old
Stan & Ollie were slapstick gold
Harold the stuntman, extraordinaire
Fred & Ginger were dancing on air
MGM's lion had a powerful roar
Universal Studios had monsters galore
King Kong, the greatest of them all
When Ray Harryhausen answered the call
Fay Wray became the Queen of Screams
Hollywood, the Factory of Dreams
Little Women, the classic, both happy and sad
Whilst Pollyanna just made you glad
Seven brothers thrilled with their famous barn dance
Gene was doing ballet in Paris, France
Bette, my favourite of trouble and strife
And Jimmy really did have a Wonderful Life!
Short prayer I say
Each day I keep all day
Each night I breathe and pray
With my sweater, all night I dream so gay
Clothes I wear with no pocket
I change and bring with locket
Picture of faith I keep in a bucket
All year round I lit with socket
Whenever I feel blue I just sing
Songs of fife that life can bring
Songs I bite without a sting
Melodies I strike with my light string
Strings of faith and joy I play
Keeping my feet on the ground, not stray
Living a life so cool that lay
Wreaths and olives I reap, not wray
One day I lost my faith
Erred and haunted by wraith
Wisp of tendrils creeping and saithe
Noshing my body and molded like dearth
Then instant light flashed on my face, I freezed
I was speechless, frozen without a mouthpiece
A prayer inside my pocket that please
Sweater I wore again to keep myself at ease

Pride and Prejudice A Dog’s Tale
Simply scratching is really not fair
said King Kong to the mut in his lair
you’ve laid down with me’s
and I’m covered with fleas
Now, Fay Wray will end our affair!
Oh well, said the pink Pomeranian
Find a pet, a bit, more pedestrian
Let sleeping dogs lie
too near to your thigh
or go for a prize more Wagnerian!
Brunhilda you see cares not if you’ve fleas
for horned helmets has she’s for releases
She’ll scratch your back
when fleas attack
That Fay Wray lacks tact and she sneezes!
~Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas
~~Let sleeping dogs lie
*The 1933 original version of King Kong
stared actist Faye Wray as the apes girlfriend.
**A pomeranian is a long haired German dog.
***Wagner is a German composer who wrote The Ride of the Valkyries

Fay Wray out of sight
Fell from an amazing height
At his last twilight
By Robb A. Kopp
Once a raven was sent to fly.
And flew and flew but didn't die.
It had nowhere on earth to go.
But it just kept flying to and fro.
Until the waters finally dried.
But we don't know when it finally died.
Next a dove was sent away.
She came back, she couldn't stay
Too much water on the land.
Noah gave her a helping hand.
Brought her back into the safety ark.
And no, he never sent out a lark.
He sent the dove again in seven days.
An olive leaf plucked off the Bible says.
She brought to Noah at the end of the day.
Which gave them hope with a golden wray.
Again in seven days he sent her out.
Never to return, which made Noah shout.
