Fly My Love

Once a raven was sent to fly. And flew and flew but didn't die. It had nowhere on earth to go. But it just kept flying to and fro. Until the waters finally dried. But we don't know when it finally died. Next a dove was sent away. She came back, she couldn't stay Too much water on the land. Noah gave her a helping hand. Brought her back into the safety ark. And no, he never sent out a lark. He sent the dove again in seven days. An olive leaf plucked off the Bible says. She brought to Noah at the end of the day. Which gave them hope with a golden wray. Again in seven days he sent her out. Never to return, which made Noah shout. "Fly My Love"

I really enjoy the musical tone; I hear music when I read this poem. Entertaining and and easliy understood biblical chapter reduced to tell the story in three short stanza. This is the way we should be writing the stories of the Bible for our children. Ever consider writing a Children's Bible in this type of format? Beautiful and educational. Mac

Oh this is wonderful... And than God, Noah was a righteous man. Or none of us would be here to make righteous choices. Smiling, Dane Ann

An uplifting account of Noah's story, Marty. James Peranteau has a son named Noah and I'm sure he'd enjoy reading this one to his little boy. Thanks for sharing! Love, Carolyn
