Presenting to the emergency room, patient "BB,"
a dad who swallowed a snow globe carelessly.
Out of ALC, voices crying, "YOLO,"
PO, he took a big gulp of fantasy snow.
NAGI, his stomach churned immediately.
He could hear little elves dancing with a BEG.
Brought to the ER unconscious with HBP,
HAGMA, and tachypnea, unfortunately.
A CT scan revealed a kidney infection.
MDs dispensed an antibiotic injection.
Dialysis was administered, but he was still KO.
His kidney's were decorated in crystals of "snow."
Ten WKs later he could walk again (to the bar),
but will likely need dialysis 4EVR.
You are what you eat, (BB made a recovery)
but don't be a snowflake, the moral of the story.
(Watch the attached video for the full story.)
ALC- alcohol
YOLO- you only live once
PO- by mouth
NAGI- not a good idea
BEG- big evil grin
ER- emergency room
HBP- high blood pressure
HAGMA- high anion gap metabolic acidosis
CT- computerized tomography
MD- medical doctors
KO- knocked out
WK- week
4EVER- forever

Had an old Cadillac and a gal named Ann
And I played fiddle in a travelin' band
I loved my Ann and a dog named Yeller
They ran off with a yodelin' feller
I woke up this mornin' on a choo choo train
Bound for Amarillo in the pourin' rain
Starin' out the window started me thinkin'
It's gonna be this way 'til I quit drinkin'

Oozy-gooey marshmallow
Log coated in nuts
Pecan logs are a real treat
But have them with hot
Coffee or cocoa
Magical
Thrill!

At the moon, he raised a howl
A long, and plaintive cry.
What cause he, to lift his head
And serenade the sky.
That I could look into his soul
To see the world as he,
Dwell in his mind for a while
To know his reverie.

GOD’S CREATIONS ABUNDANTLY BEAUTIFUL
Bursting in my presents dots, white spots blinding, blinking at me;
Burst of flashing darting yellows and reds shower me;
Upon the awakening of the sun the surface of the grounds;
Warms with anticipated heats awaiting the sweets..
Of the bees and butterflies nectar spills
Of the cool breeze waters rolling off the hills
All this and yet instilled God’s His creations abundantly ever so beautiful;

the sky is liquid ink with not a star and I walk a
flower strewn path seeking him, the man I dream of in this hushed
place and the wild wind tangles my hair and my gown presses against
me for I have no strength to fight those dark eyes that haunt my nights,
now, here he stands waiting for me, oh I should run away, I
should flee but I find myself floating to him- his skin is so pale and
beautiful, his long dark hair fluttering in the wind and then his lips are
on mine in a kiss, stone cold . . . .

I patiently wait for a clear night sky for to look upon the moon
She mesmerizes me totally with eyes wide open I swoon
As soon as I see her crescent above I gaze each night completely in love
And as she grows my heartstrings play for when she takes my breath away
She is the brightest light up high and when she’s at her plumpest
Oh such a glorious sight to espy her brilliant white light is the purest
Moonbeams shower me from above spreading Luna lace and moonbeam love

When life ends, as it must,
Our time here is finite.
As our bodies turn to dust,
We returneth to his light.
As we close these mortal eyes
And earthbound ties are ending,
'Tis only flesh and blood that dies,
Our spirits are ascending.
For the Lord, he takes our hand
The shepherd tends his flock,
He takes us to the promised land,
Our guardian, our rock.
I fear not, for I know
The Lord he cares for me,
I will walk through heavens gates,
For I follow he.

Discernment... prudence* brought by God, Source of light:
Delighting me in the brightness of His goodness
Driving my soul to bask under the radiance of His grace.
Desiring the Lord's truth-glow,
Drawing nearer to the Almighty's presence
Determined am I to dwell in His love...
Declaring the magnificence of His power
Destined by faith to reflect heaven's glory!
*2Chronicles 2:12 "...Blessed be the LORD God...who hath given...prudence and understanding..."

Beating drums always murmur inside my heart it seems,
and I write of my aboriginal ancestors found in dreams;
oh, the reality of dream and reality in life are thin seams.
And though my life has been a ravaged garden of weeping,
of grief and loss that never seems to stop creeping;
it is into my poetry always and forever be seeping.
The love of nature is where I find my tranquil peace,
among green beauty my utter pain I release;
even with a winter blanket my roaming does not cease.
And I have found a group of people exactly the same,
like me, within their souls there is a wild flickering flame;
and we care not if our words ever bring us fame.

A cardinal whips its trilled zest
Where fields extend into a mile;
That upon bright April's request
My toes wiggle here for a while...
I pause as sunrise paints hued light
By rolling through ridges, how free!
Till more birds arrive come near night
When dreamy hours grant spring's marquee.

In the wood amongst the trees,
Clumps of little snowdrops spread.
Not for them the regiment,
Of perfect lines in flower beds.
Here and thereabouts they grow,
No pattern in their choice.
Whenever we encounter them,
Inside we rejoice.
For the season it is changing,
And around the corner, spring.
Welcome are the snowdrops,
And the tidings that they bring.

MINDFULNESS
Monitoring mind magnificently.
Intensive intrinsic introspection.
Navigating mind to concentrate.
Devotion and dedication devoid of distraction.
Full form of conscience to realize
Unclasping disturbance and understanding calmness.
Letting restlessness to subside boosting placidity.
Noble attention to focal point.
Engrossed emotion enlightening ecstatic status of mind.
Static sublime mental state
Sowing seed of attentiveness to sprout.
