Our Rock
When life ends, as it must,
Our time here is finite.
As our bodies turn to dust,
We returneth to his light.
As we close these mortal eyes
And earthbound ties are ending,
'Tis only flesh and blood that dies,
Our spirits are ascending.
For the Lord, he takes our hand
The shepherd tends his flock,
He takes us to the promised land,
Our guardian, our rock.
I fear not, for I know
The Lord he cares for me,
I will walk through heavens gates,
For I follow he.
