Premium MemberThe Love Of My Life

We paced the dulcet garden path paved with passion,
sensed the fervent flower called love bloom in my heart
and I realized you’re a precious gift God has given me.
While walking the last mile through the twilight zone
I’m not forlorn, for my Valentine is with me as my wife.

Premium MemberSeeking My Lady

Although retired and glad to be "job free"
I've still places to go, things to do, people to see...

When I get back home the first 'Order of Biz'
Is seek out where Sweetie Lady is

I start my search through 1st floor rooms
Kitchen; computer niche; both bedrooms

If searching fails to show where she went
I go down to check our cold basement

She doesn't go up to the model airplane attic
So all that points to my one remaining tactic

Explore the 'Wilderness': to wit:
The lot on which our house doth sit

Although the view across the yard would seem to be quite clear
She has amazing ability in it to disappear

So then I have to raise my voice
Like a pet owner, but I have no choice

I plead "Please call to me, my Sweetie Dear!
I cannot tell if you are here!"

She emerges from some bush, with pruner
How can I not have seen her sooner?

No matter, now that she's in sight
I only want to hug her tight!

Love of my Life: searching I DON't dread
Is when I search for you at night
Close by me...in our bed!

Premium MemberMy Valentine

There is a day, they say, that’s marked for love.
A time with rhyme, that feelings are expressed.
The air is clear, the sun is bright
And hearts held dear make footsteps light;
When words are shed like layered clothes
		To leave our hearts undressed.

True love goes unbequethed to time.
It knows no earthly bound.
It lingers deep within the touch
Of whispers and of sound.
It’s in the fabric of our soul
It sparks the breath of life,
Within the depth of all it’s meaning
		I have found a wife.

This day, like all my other days,
I hold for you alone.
My love, my heart, my everything -  is you;
And in the quiet moments
That become our growing years,
The days we share, like dollars saved,
		Remain, alas, too few.

Premium MemberDear Valentine

Dear Valentine.

It all began in 1970, some 55 valentines ago.
Initially, there was a beautiful citing of YOU.
And quite suddenly, there was a thought of US.
That thought led to a longing desire for execution.
Deep within me was a fixating calculation of means.
The actual procument of resources came next,
Which led to a joyous celebration of YOU and ME.
Resulting in pure elation and satisfaction.

Happy Valentine, my bride.

Premium MemberBarbara Valentine Sublime!

Barbara Valentine Sublime!
May I be your Valet?
Drive your Horse & Buggie?
Spark your Wish Come True!
Blooma “Bootiful” as a Lily of the Valley,
Here are 3 kisses & a “huggie”,
May Shalom Beis thus accrue!
Warm envelope addressed to our foray,
To Brookside where Crocuses Tug Ye,
Roses are Red & so my bowing knee,
My ears are yours to listen to your dream anthology!

To My Valentine

It is not about gazing,
into the eyes of a lover.
But standing side by side,
sharing life with one another.

It is not about a fancy house,
a fine car or golden wedding band.
It’s how my heart begins to quake,
at the slightest touch of your hand.

It’s about the joy I have,
when your love is in my heart.
It is about the sadness I feel,
whenever we are apart.

I know the world has many poems,
that paint this day in a different hue.
But none of them can yet describe,
how much ‘I Love You’.

No. She's not an angel;
Of this I am certain.
For she is very much a mortal
and seeks no other identity.

She's only human
She's just a woman
I love her. She loves me.
Of this I am certain

Moreover, from where I sit, neither
hypocrisy nor selfishness exists.
On the contrary, she models purity
of purpose and exemplifies Truth.

Her love for others is deep.
She's strong and she is weak.
Her strength defies her weakness,
rendering it limited and ineffective.

Yes. She is a saint;
Of this I am certain;
For she is a par above
and highly connected to God.

Both her tears and her laughter
exude a captivating aroma with a
divine fragrance that compels me
to give attention and high regard.

And I? I am blessed to be her husband.
She's God's gift to me above all others.
I have been married to her for 50-plus years.
Valentine '24 will be our 54th Valentine together.

Premium MemberMy Valentine Anne

My valentine Anne.

No matter where I walk, when were apart.
You’re always near and in my heart.
My dreams are filled, with visions of you.
My love will stand and always be true.

I have traveled this land from coast to coast.
I know it is you I love the most.
Now I know that this is the time.
Will you be my valentine?

No love could I write
without your name –
my world the sum of
your letters. No word
desire I say nor hear,
if not spoken and the
return your echo – for
the air carries what is
impressed on the heart,
recited by both common
folk and sages – and moonlight
has been a chronicle of snuggles
throughout affection's written ages –

While my favorite title needs
no other script, than Ila
across all pages –

When I met you for the first time, I didn’t know,
across the winters and springs of yearning years
into a fast friendship the encounter would grow,
that would endure amid medley of smile and tear.

We paced the dulcet garden path paved with desire,
sensed fervent flower called love bloom in our heart,
where the butterfly of longing flew on patina of fire,
promising us with its flair nothing would set us apart.

As our entwined footprints fade in the trail of the past,
you walk by my side as my treasured friend, I adore.
While the twilight tinge of the spent sun wanes fast,
I know you’re the precious gift, God couldn’t give more.

In my meandering journey in sunshine and mist of life,
I’m not forlorn for my Valentine is with me as my wife.

Premium MemberMy Valentine Always

My Valentine Always

A burning love forms in my heart:
Longing for your touch;
To feel your love, but we are a part?

Your hair smelled of a lavender scent;
Essences she used when she bathed.
I'll always treasure you in my heart, my valentine!

Your radiance emanates:
When you step into a room!
Your beautiful, tuned voice;
Filled my mind with you, my valentine

I used to lay awake after you've,
Fallen asleep,
And gaze at your radiance.

I ask myself at times;
What did I ever do to deserve a woman like you?
Because I would do it again.

You've drawn so much more than love out of me.
You bring radiance, and elegance like flowers!
You bring me to; life, my valentine.

And, I love you so much, Shannon! R.I.P.

God Composed My Wife and Did Design

God My Wife Composed and Did Design

God my wife composed and did design
By Him made and became my valentine
Wonderful morning had been breaking
My breath away her beauty was taking.

Many years together we were to live
All my love and affectionate to her give
While so caring she always was to me
Ideal husband I had turned out to be.

Beauty may be found in mind of beholder
We will gain many years and grow older
While her love will loom live a lively bloom
Flowing and blowing throughout each room.

Premium MemberI'Ll Never Forget This Day

That summer day in 'fifty eight
when providence found me a mate

Neither of us knew then, what was then to be
from passion, love, was brought forth from me

Attraction's magnet drew us together
nothing, was ever, our love to sever

In memory that day still glows bright
she, remains, that same first love in my sight

Still, she is my beautiful valentine
her constant love stays mine..mine..mine
