Notes About The Poem

My Valentine Anne was written for my wife on Valentine’s Day, this poem is also in my book Melodious Verse 2009 and Expressions 2008. Written in two quatrains with clerihew rhyme, a closing envoi and 64 words. Centered for aesthetic symmetry the image is by me Josehf Lloyd Murchison.

My Valentine Anne

My valentine Anne. 


No matter where I walk, when were apart. 
You’re always near and in my heart. 
My dreams are filled, with visions of you. 
My love will stand and always be true. 

I have traveled this land from coast to coast. 
I know it is you I love the most. 
Now I know that this is the time. 
Will you be my valentine?
