They Say I Am Visually Challenged

I feel the heat
but not the light
what shall I do?
Oh what shall I do?
my heart sweats too.
Hold my hand,
hold my brush
and lead me on
away from this blank canvas.
Where is the palette?
Where is the color?
Let me draw a master piece
that befits this world.

Valentine Sermon
By: Tom Wright
2-17-2019

Many sat in church that morning,
A sermon about love & what a marriage should be.

Some mused, I hope she is getting this,
While others were thinking, boy, bet he's feeling guilty.

Being visually challenged toward individual faults;
They continued to ape a brain dead lizard,
And nothing changed.

Visually Challenged

arms my in
you with alone

found be finally can
life of meaning the where
around back me spin
love my hand my take

tide the with out riding or
up giving be I should
anymore me to sense making not
motivation and will of lost

town about all to burden a
useless feeling
down upside me tossing life
round and round spinning
ode

Love Black and White

One’s black
One’s white
The world doesn’t understand
The love they share
Or the reasons why they love who they do
Only love isn’t nor should it be as simple
As the colors of a misguided world
Love is a tangled web of mangled art
The Picasso of human emotions
The beauty of existing in a world of circumstance
The mixing of the races began with the mixing of the worlds
So many are upset by it, that they only want to judge
Don’t judge color or the one’s who love
Judge yourself and figure out what you’re afraid of
If you’re one of those who are visually challenged
Unable to see the beauty of being color-blind
Welcome to the new world
Where interracial relations isn’t one of a kind
But the norm
For a diversity embracing world~
