Very Softly Poems | Examples

Premium MemberIvory Flakes

I love watching the snow fall,
very softly and gently to the ground.
The blanket turns from summer green,
to a blanket of ivory flakes.
Once whiter than white,
now ivory from the soot in the air.
What part do we play,
in this changing world we live in.
For better or for worse,
we all live here together.
Maybe one day the ivory flakes,
will return to the white snow.

Premium MemberEmbrace with love

If I'm not allowed to fall,
I can't learn to walk
Through peace with falling,
I rise again in strong faith
When I climb a mountain,
I see its lowest point
By peace with the lowest points,
all fears dissipate

Even while traveling,
I long to stand still
Thanks to such stops,
the journey feels more intense
Deep below my strength
I sense there is softness
Thanks to that softness,
much stronger I am

Do I choose to shine,
it illuminates what seems dark,
not remembered and
overlong unseen,
When I embrace with love,
everything that once fell
returns to a state
of purity

And just as I stand still,
I long to travel
Thanks to the traveling,
my path unfolds before me
Narrow but passable,
enlightened by love,
so if I do fall again?
Then I can only fall…

Happiness, Wants, Opportunity

Aphorisms, rather than EPIGRAMS (Choices are many in "forms of Poetry")

1. Happiness is not wanting to get what you dream of;
Happiness is wanting what you already HAVE now.

2. LISTEN. Always work on listening skills, for OPPORTUNITY often knocks very softly.

(DEO). shalom, shalom. ShalOM
(Ask me about why Jesus is so real to me, about SHALOM).

Othello was playing the Cello
That may come as a surprise
He was sad and mellow about the deaths and lies
He played very softly
Then stabbed himself and died

Premium MemberThe Singing Elf

The little Elf
All by himself
Was dancing in the wood
He was gloriously happy
As Elfin folk should be
Surrounded by nature
In all its majesty
As the little Elf was dancing
He began to sing
He sang very softly
As there wasn't much of him
Even though the volume
Wasn't very loud
The little Elf singing
Brought a happy crowd
An Owl in a nearby tree
Way up in the sky
Was so touched by the song
A tear fell from his eye
A dog stopped barking
So that he could hear the tune
The little Elf was in his element
Serenading the Moon
The Moon shone brightly
Enjoying every note
A Ferret looked all dreamily
At his girlfriend a Stoat
A cat purred softly
It was a Siamese
The crowd became thicker
It was getting quite a squeeze
All the animals in the forest
That listened to the Elf
All had private thoughts
They kept to themselves
Elves are mischievious
Naughty little things
It is very rare to hear
Elves softly sing
Sing he did so beautifully
Because he knew that he
Was on his way to marry
His sweetheart
A fragile Fairy

Premium MemberHaaaaa

Haaaaa

(A sound made when you exhale from very deep…
Purposefully, completely, and intentionally.)
The best friend began,
the husband continued,
and souls… parted.

You spoke very softly, a whisper.
I wanted to hear every word, so I moved closer.
How can I make this easier?
How can I put a world of thoughts, in to a moment…
or two?

It is not fair, what happened to you and I.
We have been cheated. A life time passed us by.
We lived without knowing there was a chance…
a real possibility to be happy?
How sweet the memory of every moment,
I have spent in your company.
How my heart yearns to repeat every celebration.
How my soul wants to dance with you in heaven…

My best friend, I let you go, as I have no choice.
Yet, you have profoundly and completely made my life better.
It has been made whole by your presence, and the lack of it…
will be hard to deal with on levels I have yet to understand.

I thank the Lord, “He” gave me you. I wish that I had listened to him more.
He may have led me sooner … to your door.
I am too hard headed.
You always knew that.

Premium MemberA Muse Abused

I'll just step
very softly,
tip toe,
on this blank page.
My inner critic?
fast asleep!
Perhaps
I'll tap dance,
lightly,
while he snores.
For freedom
has a jazz band beat
...soon twirling dizzily...
Shhh!
The prison guard stirs.

Softly
Your sweet love comes
Bring all the best in me
There's love, magic in all you do
With you my whole being feels like brand-new
Your love illuminates heart, soul
Brings beautiful love song
Makes my heart sing
Softly.

Lips Cfraving For Kiss

My steamy and red lips
are craving for your hot kiss
you kiss them with warm breathe
and let them
land on my lips where
colorful horizon exists
you kiss them very softly very gently

Like a crazy and mad lover
you place your lips on my lips
to feel being in the heaven
a place for making love
to taste the juice of
drunken lips
you feel them very softly very gently

Let your sensuous lips
fall deeply to get lost into them
and to enjoy the first crush
that erotic lips greet your lips
to fall in love with them
to suck the sweet honey
you touch them very softly very gently

Let your carnal lips
dive deep into them
for heavenly satisfaction
and for quenching
their unending thirst
let them suck the nectar
from the petals of my lips
suck them very softly very gently

Premium MemberThe Source of Beauty

Looking out from inward heart
from sounding that fast beat
so sensitive needing keen ear
making movements by silent feet

There lies within such beauty
your inner ear hears so faint
but very softly it is there
it's presence feels like a saint

There's a fragrance so lovely
it smells like a scented flower
rises within you images so bright
feels touched by rainbow shower

No eyes could convey all this
the mind alone brings this all out
filling you with all sorts loveliness
this sublime beauty there's no doubt

Such marvels in one abounds
so beautiful takes breath away
you gasp for air in this moment
thinking it feels like eternal day

Angel's Wings

Angel’s wings beat very softly.
Most people, in fact, do not hear them at all,
When danger comes or sorrows arise in life.

If you listen closely, you will hear them
Softly whirring, majestically sent to minister to you,
When God answers your prayers- as on Him you call.

Premium MemberOf Heaven and Hell

The fabric was already woven,
fine silk
the essence.
On the way out I looked
	for a door,
found silk,
a cocoon.

Then I heard a key
	turning in a lock
and looked.
There beneath a fire breath
an alarm was screaming.
Demons were pleading,
Let me out!

I looked again
and angels reposed
	singing very softly.
The lyrics, the words
	were kind,
and the instruments
played harmony.

Cathedral

Cathedral

I walk in the cathedral, its vast space
is quiet is like the immense silence
of a deep and gentle snow storm.
light through the stain glass windows glorifies
the sense of peace.

In the distance a book is dropped
the flat echo sounds far and small.
I hear the shuffle of people
in another nave of this place,
they talk one to another
In booming sibilants that make no sense, but echo.

An old woman prays in the pew near me,
We are so very far from the chancellery,
She flashes me looks of scorn.
I feel she knows I don't pray
and has seen I did not genuflect.

High up amongst polished rose wood
I hear slight noises echo as a man
moves papers that he carries.
Very softly, a low sweet sound fills this place
I feel joy and I am full of tears.

The sound stops. silence rings like crystal,
to be fractured by the opening thunder
of the Bach D minor toccata and fugue,
which fills this place and me with sound.
Then I am crying and desolate.
because it is quiet again.

If a place like this can exist does it mean that there is a god.
