Ivory Flakes

I love watching the snow fall, very softly and gently to the ground. The blanket turns from summer green, to a blanket of ivory flakes. Once whiter than white, now ivory from the soot in the air. What part do we play, in this changing world we live in. For better or for worse, we all live here together. Maybe one day the ivory flakes, will return to the white snow.

A lovely poem on a winter scene. When the snow freshly falls, it will be pure white. Then the color fades into ivory, mostly because of soot and dust. You have handled the subject in a clever way. All the best, dear Paula.

I love the silence that snow brings with it and how it blankets the earth making everything seem as one. Now, if only mankind could follow suit. A lovely free verse Paula that got me thinking about snow, the planet and the human race. Cheers - Gary

Snow is so pretty but I don't think I would want to live in a place with the problems it presents. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I enjoyed reading it today. Sad when the white snow is tarnished by pollution. Sara K

I'm glad we have no snow in Malta. Not that we don't have dirt around. There are too many houses being built, and many men with their dogs are leaving dogs' dirt behind.
