Bravest Sons of India – Neuve-Chapelle, 1915.
(Linking Pin Sonnet – Dr. Joseph Spence Sr. Style)
India’s sons marched where guns roared in flame,
Flame lit their path as the Lahore men onward pressed,
Pressed with the Meerut through wire none could tame,
Tamed only by hearts in brave Garhwal dressed.
Dressed for the storm, Gurkha steel cut the way,
Way through the fire where the Kaiser’s men stood,
Stood firm for the flag in that Flanders day,
Day paid in blood for the world’s greater good.
Good men they were, yet no grave bears their name,
Name clearly carved instead on memorial white,
White stone in France tells the tale of their fame,
Famed in the East, now in every nations’ sight.
Sight holds their valor where red poppies still sway,
Swayed by the winds, they march with us today.

Wind blown
Tangled
Locked
I begin
A commencing song
Beloved your presence
Alone, my death....
[]
Extending
Climbing
Rising high
Falling
Plummeting
A destined dream
Denied
Muted
Willing
An attempt
A sigh
Wandering
Subdued
A curious eye
Hushed
Blinded
Bound
Unseen
To capture
A moment
Young
Free
A maze
A Labyrinth
A key
A clue
Misplaced
Interpreted
Desiring
Proof
I crave
She turns
I call her name
A memory
Vacant
A long lost day

The rose petals color drained,
as my eyes tearfully pained,
over how I failed to maintain
A bed worthy of thorns contained
No gardens lush, where beauty bloomed,
Unyielding, lost, my dark heart entombed,
Each fragrant breath, putrids perfumed,
Now, just whisps of a florist doomed
The dry thorns, razor sharp, a warning strong,
Guard deadly blooms where love doesn't belong,
In my haste, I wrought the bouquet wrong,
and watched as life was reaped, swiftly by the throng
With every year, a memory fades,
Of sunlight's kiss in gentle glades,
Can roots revive in shaded trades,
Or will we mourn what time evades?
Oh, teach me how to plant anew,
With tender hands, a heart that's true,
To grow of the earth in a vibrant hue,
and cherish thorns whose sting l never knew
In every bud, a tale very few conceive,
Of broken dreams, of hearts that grieve,
For the Rose, it speaks of love's reprieve,
In petals, soft, dare we believe.

A wall stands tall, a line in the sand
Dreams on hold, as hope slips from hand
Yet hearts still soar, across the divide
For freedom's call done right cannot be denied

I got the spark, lighting the way
I got the will, to seize the day
I got the
I got the
I got the power, strong and vast
Courage and hope, we’ll shape the past

I stand as a teacher, distinct and apart
A beacon of passion, with a zealous heart
My craft, a calling, that fuels my every fire
I will not be deceived, my rewards, I must acquire
In this life, I demand respect, a right I hold dear
My authority, unshakeable, my will, crystal clear
I am the trainer of trainers, the mentor of the land
My expertise, unparalleled, my knowledge, at your command
I am a teacher by choice, not circumstance or fate
My profession, a noble pursuit, that I create and relate
I upgrade daily, in my craft and art
A master of my domain, a leader, in every part
You dare not look down on me, with disdain or scorn
For I have taught your parents, and those who came before
If you would rise above me, you must first show respect
For the teacher, who has paved the way, and corrected

What i've woven hardly matters.
With my tapestry in tatters.
Lay in place adorned with shadow.
Await that sunlit meadow.
But the harvest cannot grow,
Without one to make it sow.

Her silence was her silent grieve,
A veil that few could ever perceive,
But deep within, a fire burned,
A fighter's spirit, undeterred and unturned.
She was no weak soul, as they thought,
A woman with courage, battle fought,
Resilient, bold, and strong at heart,
A woman king, who'd never depart.
In her soul, a fire burning bright,
She will rise from the ashes, take her rightful flight,
A woman of strength, of power, and grace,
In her journey, she will find her rightful place.
Though, darkness may assail,
She will stand tall and strong, her spirit shall prevail.
For she's a woman, a king deep within her core,
Unyielding, unbroken, forever she will soar.

Drowned in the sea of my troubles,
I'm reaching for a breath,
Stifled by the weight of my perplexities,
I'm moving to where the light splits,
Up and up I go,
Pushing my way through,
Wiggling my way past,
I'm losing my breath in the fight,
My strength is ebbing away,
I have died a million times,
The stump still held firm to the ground,
I live to see a new day,
I live to fight again.

Summer storm’s rampage
Disfigured the brilliant foliage
Making the green lush disruptive,
That was once attractive.
The most pleasant and serene site,
Mutated in to poor and ugly sight
Despite all the worst,
Standing mightily amidst,
Stanchion and stern,
Like a champion.
A tough one, straight
And crocodile –barked,
The replica of unyielding spirit,
Taking charge of revamping Nature’s bright.

Unyielding is characterized by firmness
and a lack of softness or flexibility.
Not giving in.
Never Quit Or Are Unyielding
Another question we had started fielding;
If they will never quit or are unyielding,
Mind wonder;
Spell under;
Could be a character that is unwielding.

Sexism was chasing a
gibbous moon whole night.
I ask the virtuous dark,
will you be a hangman ?
Targeted love was a bliss
for a dying man. You need
to walk on a fine line to
attain the liberation.
Despite the coveted prize,
killing was more convenient.
There hangs a tale, you
cannot play the tune again.
Without the hyphen, the
other side becomes blue.
A belief starts the tremors
in the sleeves of a headless moon.
