Unyielding

Drowned in the sea of my troubles, I'm reaching for a breath, Stifled by the weight of my perplexities, I'm moving to where the light splits, Up and up I go, Pushing my way through, Wiggling my way past, I'm losing my breath in the fight, My strength is ebbing away, I have died a million times, The stump still held firm to the ground, I live to see a new day, I live to fight again.
