Untracked Poems

Wings in abeyance
 motion untracked
 Monarch in shadow
—darkness is back

Well howdy doody my name is Jack
Isn't much history this old dude lacks
Even Jackie Robinson
Dad and I saw game one
First black player ever to get untracked

A murder of crows straggled
across the grey February sky
with light snow slowly falling
blanketing the world in untracked
silence, until we crossed coyote
tracks setting off Xena’s baying.
Back home, after breakfast and
coffee, I fired up the laptop to
pink flamingos before blue water,
Windows 10’s screen of the day.

Premium MemberCan'T Find the Eleven

So here we go my dear, dear friends
I'm back to my jovial ways
Just a minor glitch in the script it seems
Like I've wandered a bit astray

So here we go, are you ready for these
Some sillies for which I'm famed
If you injure yourself falling down on the floor
I absolve myself of any blame

Doctors say carrots improve your eyesight
These guys are a silly bunch of asses
Well ponder this my smarty pants friends
Ever seen rabbits wearing glasses

There you go, didn't I tell you my friends
I'd be back to the jollies in a while
Can't keep this old son-of-a-gun down
I was born to make people smile

Stay tuned, there a whole bunch more coming
Just getting untracked once again
Here's one, “why can't a blond dial 911?”
Coz she can't find the eleven!

A Literary Journey

Only a select few tread on this grand pathway
as it always often remains untracked anyway
I wonder why people find this boring someway
though it takes us to the Treasure Island faraway.

The passing through itself is a source of delight
that is strewn with splendid places that attract
Offering on the way many a breath taking sight
blessed are those who opt for a trip on the route.

Yes, it does require one to fulfil certain norm
for undertaking an expedition of this odd sort
it calls for a sensitive mind with a great thirst
that gets drenched with Mother Nature’s mist.

There are different alleys on this joyous road
that present the tourist with myriad pleasures
which when once experienced remain etched
And the taste lingers on ceaselessly unbridled.

One can experience the joys unheard by others
and have the benefit of tranquillity that is rare
and forever revel in the contentment at ease
it’s a pleasant and fascinating journey indeed.

My Wish

If I had one wish?
I would ask for a day
To say to my Dad, all I didn’t get to say
Everything on my mind
In every possible way

If I had one wish?
I would dance to hearts content
My emotions would not be bent
Because my father would be here.

If only one day I could rent…

If I had one wish?
I’d wish all time away
Without that record, we’d have longer days
Untracked time with loved ones
And just enjoy all life’s display

I would wish away Eve
And her eating from that tree
So that we all could live forever
In God’s kingdom, happy and care-free

I would illegalize “goodbye”
Then it would never be in existence
Our loved ones couldn’t die
And we could find other reasons to cry

Oh
I have to pick just one you say…
Well I’ll condense them all together…

……..
If I had one wish?
I guess,
Eternal life’s the card I’d play

Scars, the Silent Witnesses

SCARS, THE SILENT WITNESSES

They sneak back as time slips fast,
Scars like ghosts of the past,
Irritating guests for dinner
Under your skin as it gets thinner.
These old witnesses emerge spectrally
Long forgotten, long-buried ancestrally
Under the mobile flexible skin
Of youth and the middle age you were in
Where work and movement, those liars,
Disguised the faces of these testifiers.
These spectators who saw your act
And then left the theatre untracked -
And your fruits which were forgotten,
Rosy red or sometimes rotten -
Revealing what fitted your basket well
And what things from it fell.
These Fates forcing you to reassess your existence
In the penultimate chance at repentance.
The evidence is there: you must account
Before the last courtroom to count.
